The mayor attended a refugee protest, but that didn’t change anything (photo, video)

Today Marc Vanden Busche, the mayor of Koksijde, came to protesting refugees.

Well, I will try not to be emotional, I’ll just talk about the results. Rather, the lack of results.

Refugees once again voiced a simple question: why were they locked up, although the Refugee Reception Center has a well-equipped quarantine zone where patients can be isolated or suspected of having coronavirus? There is a quarantine zone - so why are hundreds of people locked up who have no symptoms? If you suspect someone has a coronavirus - well, let these people go to the quarantine zone. But why are the rights of hundreds of people limited?

The mayor ignored this question. He pretended not to understand what it was about.

By the way, I remind you that in the quarantine zone there is only one family now, in which one child is declared infected with the coronavirus, although he has no symptoms.

Another family has already left the quarantine zone, because after repeated testing the child was found to be healthy. First, a child without symptoms was declared sick, and after 4 days she was healthy. Amazing! The mayor used the refugee child for propaganda, in order to block hundreds of people. But it turned out that the child is healthy!

There is no "outbreak of coronavirus" at the Refugee Reception Center. Especially considering the dubious test results. Now there is one family in the quarantine zone, they have no symptoms, they feel healthy and are sure that testing their child was also a mistake.

Do you not understand why the refugees are outraged? They are stigmatized based on erroneous tests. "Mistakenly" declare people infected and dangerous, and then restrict the rights of hundreds of people!

The same refugees did not protest against the lockdown a month ago, because then there were reasonable explanations. But what is happening now is beyond the scope, it is a cruel absurdity.

The mayor stubbornly demands that all refugees be tested, although no one has symptoms. This is a violation of Belgian law that prohibits discrimination.

Moreover, such testing is useless. After all, the mayor wants to force (and this is prohibited by law) to test only refugees and their children, and not all residents of the city and all schoolchildren. This is absurd. This is not a fight against coronavirus.

Listen, does this mayor consider himself a virologist, but is not able to understand basic things? He seems to be publicly discussing what he does not understand. It seems to me that he is abusing power, based on fantastic ideas. Why won't the government stop him? It sets a dangerous precedent. He is doing what the WHO is warning about - restricting human rights on a false pretext, against the backdrop of a pandemic. This is dangerous for the whole of Belgium, not only for refugees.

The mayor said the police would block the center until his dream of force testing people without symptoms came true. In fact, this means imprisonment for an unlimited term for hundreds of people.

Now everyone understands why the mayor needs total refugee testing. He uses tests to stigmatize and discriminate, and then it turns out that the tests were wrong. Why does the mayor think that he will succeed again?

Testing people without symptoms who have not contacted sick people can only be voluntary. But the mayor publicly demands that the center Fedasil break the laws and become a Nazi concentration camp. Is he crazy?

At the end of today's meeting, the mayor said he brought ice cream, Coca-Cola and masks to the refugees. To demonstrate good attitude.

Is he serious?

Does he want people to sell their freedom for Coca-Cola and ice cream? Forgot that he turned them into prisoners?

What's in the head of this mayor? What are his values? What books did he read as a child?

Belgians! I do not believe that you think this is normal!
